Genshin Impact Top Up – 15–30% Off Genesis Crystals | KeyGold

A Genshin Impact top-up should be checked against the account, server, payment route, Wish count, and actual cost per pull before money is spent. Genshin Impact launched in 2020, and its Character Event Wish uses a listed 0.6% base rate for a 5-star character, with a 5-star guaranteed within 90 Wishes. One Wish normally requires 160 Primogems, so 90 Wishes can require up to 14,400 Primogems from zero pity. Payment errors matter as well: HoYoverse states that refunded purchases can cause an equivalent currency deduction and even a negative Primogem balance. Price alone is therefore not enough to compare top-up options.

Before buying, separate Genesis Crystals, Primogems, Fates, and Wishes. Genesis Crystals are paid currency, while Primogems are used more broadly in the game and can be exchanged for Intertwined Fates or Acquaint Fates. At 160 Primogems per Wish, 1,600 Primogems cover 10 Wishes, 8,000 cover 50, and 14,400 cover 90.

Those numbers matter because a top-up does not buy a featured character. The Character Event Wish has a listed 0.6% base 5-star rate, while a 5-star is guaranteed no later than Wish 90; the first 5-star is not automatically the promoted character under the banner's applicable featured-character rules. Older HoYoLAB guidance and current banner explanations should not be treated as substitutes for the Details page shown inside the active Wish, because mechanics can be revised between versions.

A player at 70 pity is buying for a very different position from a player at 0 pity. Counting existing Wishes before paying can reduce the amount of currency purchased for the same banner target.

A simple example shows why. Someone starting from 0 pity and budgeting for the 90-Wish ceiling is planning around 14,400 Primogems; someone already at 60 pity needs at most 30 more Wishes to reach that same ceiling, equal to 4,800 Primogems. The second player is planning around one-third of the maximum Primogem requirement of the first.

The calculation becomes more complicated after a 5-star appears because pity resets for that banner type. Community explanations published through HoYoLAB in 2024 continued to list 90 Wishes as the character-banner 5-star ceiling and 0.6% as the base 5-star probability, while also describing the featured-character outcome separately. Reading the live banner rules before payment avoids relying on an old screenshot or guide.

Position before purchase Wishes to 90-Wish ceiling Primogems at 160 each
0 pity 90 14,400
30 pity 60 9,600
50 pity 40 6,400
70 pity 20 3,200
80 pity 10 1,600

Pity count is only one part of the purchase. Account identity comes next, especially when a payment route delivers currency using a UID or when a player uses more than one login method. HoYoverse support noted in 2025 that game progress is tied to the relevant HoYoverse account and that Apple, Google, email, and other login methods are not automatically interchangeable merely because the visible email address looks familiar.

That is why the UID, server, and login method should be checked before a genshin top up. A nine-digit or ten-digit identifier is not something to type from memory when real money is involved; copy it from the game and compare it with the order page before payment. Server selection deserves the same check because HoYoverse stated in 2025 that it did not provide account migration from one server to another.

Cross-platform access can make account checking less obvious. HoYoverse's 2025 support documentation says Genshin Impact supports cross-save across PC, iOS, Android, PlayStation, and Xbox when the applicable account is linked correctly. A purchase history on one storefront and game access on another device therefore should not be taken as proof that every login belongs to the intended account.

Before entering payment information, compare more than the package price:

  • Confirm the UID and server against the account currently holding the characters you play.

  • Check whether the displayed amount includes a first-purchase bonus, ordinary bonus, or neither.

  • Read the final checkout currency rather than converting the advertised price mentally.

  • Check card, wallet, tax, and foreign-exchange charges before authorizing payment.

  • Save the order number and receipt until the currency appears in the correct account.

  • Do not place a second order simply because the first one has not appeared within a few minutes.

Price comparisons should also use cost per usable Wish rather than package size alone. If Store A charges $50 for an amount that eventually funds 25 Wishes while Store B charges $48 but adds a 4% payment fee, Store B becomes $49.92 before any card-side foreign transaction charge. A displayed 4% difference can therefore shrink to almost zero at checkout.

Taxes can change the comparison again. A hypothetical $99.99 purchase with 8% sales tax becomes about $107.99, while a payment card adding a 3% foreign-transaction fee can add roughly another $3.24 if that fee is calculated on the taxed amount. The exact treatment depends on the jurisdiction, payment processor, and card agreement, so the checkout total is more useful than the first price shown on a product page.

Security deserves the same numerical discipline. HoYoverse's account-security guidance updated in 2025 recommends a unique password of at least 12 characters, two-factor authentication, and protection of the linked email account. It also advises against non-official third-party top-up channels, so a player choosing any outside seller should understand that the purchase falls outside HoYoverse's own recommendation.

A top-up page may need information required to deliver an order, but a request for an account password, email verification code, recovery code, or mailbox access gives the seller far more access than a normal currency delivery requires.

Refund handling is another reason to keep transaction records. HoYoverse explained in 2025 that when a qualifying transaction is refunded, the corresponding in-game currency is deducted automatically; if the account has already spent that currency, its balance can become negative. The support page instructs affected players to restore the balance to at least 0 within the period stated in the in-game notice.

That policy changes how chargebacks should be viewed. A bank reversal is not the same as deleting an unused physical-goods order because digital currency may already have been delivered and consumed. If a $100 transaction is disputed after its purchased currency has been spent, the account can still face an in-game currency adjustment even though the card statement shows money returned.

Purchase timing also changes how much a player actually needs. Someone with 12 Intertwined Fates and 3,200 Primogems already controls 32 Wishes: 12 existing Fates plus 20 Wishes funded by the Primogems. Buying as though the account had zero resources would ignore more than 35% of a 90-Wish ceiling already covered.

Welkin-style spending should be evaluated differently from an immediate crystal purchase because part of the product is delivered over time rather than all at once. A player buying for a banner ending soon should count only currency that can be collected before the banner closes, not the full nominal amount available across the product's entire delivery period.

The same approach applies to bonuses. A first-purchase offer advertising 100% extra currency can make one transaction appear twice as large as the base package, but repeating the same package later may not provide the same ratio. Package comparisons should therefore record base currency, bonus currency, eligibility, final payment amount, and the number of Wishes the usable total can fund.

For a player working with a fixed entertainment budget, a small worksheet is enough: current pity, current Fates, current Primogems, maximum additional Wishes wanted, checkout price, fees, and remaining monthly budget. If the spending limit is $60 and the checkout total is already $58.50, another 5% processing or card fee would raise the cost beyond the planned limit.

The last check should happen before the payment button, not after the Wish screen opens. Verify the account, read the active banner Details page, count existing resources, calculate Wishes at 160 Primogems each, review the final charged currency, and keep the receipt. With a 0.6% listed base 5-star rate and a 90-Wish character-banner ceiling, knowing the current pity count can change the amount a player needs by thousands of Primogems before any payment is made.
